HOW DID YOU BECOME A MASSAGE THERAPIST? WHAT IS YOUR BACKGROUND?
In search of a new career direction, it was during a dinner that a friend said to me: “What do you think about massage training?”. My belly started laughing, as it does when it tells me it is right for me! All I had left to do was find a school! I began my professional journey as an early childhood educator. It blossomed through several jobs and odd jobs, all of which helped shape my personality.
HOW WERE YOU BROUGHT TO WORK WITHIN THE MAINS DES BAINS ASSOCIATION AND SINCE WHEN?
In the summer of 1995, I had just graduated as a massage therapist and reflexologist, and a friend let me know they were looking for a massage therapist at Bains des Pâquis!
WHY DO YOU ENJOY WORKING WITHIN THIS ASSOCIATION?
It is a team where it is a pleasure to work, share, and live together. We have wonderful qualities of heart and resonate along the same path, even though each person remains unique. We are enriched by our differences and know how to draw inspiration from them at every opportunity. We support one another, encourage one another, motivate one another… we are a team!
WHICH MASSAGE TECHNIQUES DO YOU PRACTICE AT BAINS DES PÂQUIS?
Swedish massage, foot reflexology, and lymphatic drainage.
WHICH TECHNIQUES DO YOU PRACTICE IN YOUR PRIVATE PRACTICE? WHERE IS IT LOCATED?
Since 2000, I have had my practice in the Eaux-Vives district of Geneva. Over the years, with experience and practice, and through training, intuitive listening grows with you, within you. Technically and energetically, touch develops; it is a constant evolution.
IN YOUR OPINION, IN FOUR WORDS, WHICH QUALITIES ARE ESSENTIAL TO BE A MASSAGE THERAPIST AT BAINS DES PÂQUIS?
Open-mindedness, team spirit, consistency, and trust.
WHAT ARE YOUR PROJECTS?
I am looking for the right approach to begin passing on what I know. Meeting people and sharing my expertise.
