HOW DID YOU BECOME A MASSAGE THERAPIST? WHAT IS YOUR BACKGROUND?
Since my earliest childhood, I have always loved working with my hands, whether sewing, crafting, or massaging. At 18, I left for Latin America for a journey that lasted several years and was one of the most formative periods of my life. Upon my return to Switzerland, I worked in various professions that satisfied me to varying degrees, until my life evolved in the most natural way to lead me to the profession I practice today with the greatest satisfaction.
HOW WERE YOU BROUGHT TO WORK WITHIN THE MAINS DES BAINS ASSOCIATION AND SINCE WHEN?
Mains des Bains welcomed me in 2016, giving me the opportunity to grow within this association. I had learned that they were looking for someone to complete their team, so I submitted my application spontaneously.
WHY DO YOU ENJOY WORKING WITHIN THIS ASSOCIATION?
I appreciate Bains des Pâquis because it is pleasant and affordable—whether rich, poor, young, or old, everyone finds something for themselves. It is a place of integration where, in my view, the word “tolerance” takes on its full meaning. I therefore enjoy working there and making my contribution. The Mains des Bains association fully aligns with my vision, and I greatly enjoy interacting with my colleagues and clients.
WHICH MASSAGE TECHNIQUES DO YOU PRACTICE AT BAINS DES PÂQUIS?
Classic massage, sports massage, and Vodder lymphatic drainage.
WHICH TECHNIQUES DO YOU PRACTICE IN YOUR PRIVATE PRACTICE? WHERE IS IT LOCATED?
My practice is located in Plainpalais, Geneva. I offer the same types of massages as at the Bains, in addition to Gua Sha/cupping from traditional Chinese medicine.
IN YOUR OPINION, IN FOUR WORDS, WHICH QUALITIES ARE ESSENTIAL TO BE A MASSAGE THERAPIST AT BAINS DES PÂQUIS?
Sharing, team spirit, being attentive, and finally, loving the place…
WHAT ARE YOUR PROJECTS?
Pursue further training, develop my practice further, and participate in the evolution of our cherished association.
